Beebytes

Beebytes is a Scottish social enterprise providing genetic testing and DNA analysis for honeybees and other pollinators.

Its services examine honeybee ancestry and genetic admixture, while environmental DNA analysis helps identify floral forage used by bees and other pollinating insects. The resulting evidence supports beekeeping, selective breeding and conservation research.

Based at Roslin Innovation Centre, Beebytes works with beekeepers, breeders and researchers to improve understanding of pollinator genetics and health.
