Point-of-care molecular diagnostic platform for rapid infectious disease detection
Diagnostics for the Real World (Europe) is a Cambridge University spin-out developing and commercialising a fully automated point-of-care molecular diagnostic system for rapid detection of infectious diseases.
Using isothermal nucleic acid amplification, the platform delivers sample-in-result-out testing without centralised laboratory infrastructure.
CE-marked assays cover HIV, SARS-CoV-2, influenza A and B, and RSV, with the platform deployed across more than 100 NHS hospital sites.
A next-generation multiplex qPCR platform is in development.
