Novel mode-of-action herbicide discovery platform
Moa Technology is an agricultural biotechnology company discovering synthetic and biological herbicides with novel modes of action to address global herbicide resistance.
Its plant-based high-throughput screening platform uses miniaturised living plants, high-content microscopy and AI to identify new herbicidal compounds.
The company has screened over 900,000 compounds, discovering over 80 novel mode-of-action areas. In 2025 it also introduced Moa Amplifiers, compounds that reduce the concentration of herbicide needed for weed control.
Lead candidates are in advanced international field trials, with research partnerships in place with Nufarm, Croda, Gowan, Certis Belchim and Corteva Agriscience for co-development and commercialisation.
