Oxford Nanopore Technologies has appointed Sebastian Kronmueller as Chief Business Development Officer, effective 4 January 2027. Kronmueller joins from Philips, where he was Head of Strategy and Ventures, after more than a decade at Siemens Healthineers, and will lead strategy, business development and partnerships from the US.
Oxford Nanopore Signs Global Cross-Licensing Deal Worth $35m in Fees and Purchases
Oxford Nanopore has entered a global cross-licensing agreement with an unnamed diagnostics company, covering a $20 million licensing fee recognised in H2 FY26 and a further $15 million in committed product purchases across FY27 and FY28. The deal also carries a net royalty of a low-to-mid single-digit percentage of revenues from certain products using the licensed IP, for the life of the patents, and lifts expected FY26 constant-currency growth to roughly 23 to 27 percent.
