Ultrasound-based platform to enhance drug delivery into solid tumours

OxSonics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing a proprietary drug delivery platform that uses focused ultrasound and injectable cavitation particles to enhance the penetration of anti-cancer agents into solid tumours.

The system requires no drug reformulation and includes real-time acoustic mapping to visualise particle activation during treatment.

The platform is currently in a Phase I/IIa clinical trial in metastatic colorectal cancer, funded by the National Institute for Health Research.
