SpiraCheck is a biotechnology company developing a non-invasive breath test for the early detection of gastrointestinal cancers.

Patients exhale into a collection device; the sample is analysed in the laboratory by mass spectrometry to quantify volatile organic compounds, and a patented algorithm interprets the resulting profile to identify cancer-associated biomarker signatures.

The platform targets pancreatic, colorectal, and oesophago-gastric cancers, with a large multi-centre validation study underway.
