Algal Innovation Centre is a University of Cambridge research facility supporting laboratory and pilot-scale cultivation of microalgae.
Based at the Department of Plant Sciences, its 164-square-metre research glasshouse offers photobioreactors, algal growth monitoring and harvesting equipment. Facilities support strain improvement, biomass processing, biochemical analysis and academic or industrial collaboration.
The centre provides technical support and training, helping researchers scale algae-based processes from laboratory experiments towards applied biotechnology development.
