Drug-free nasal barrier spray blocking airborne viruses and allergens
Birmingham Biotech is a University of Birmingham spin-out selling NoriZite, a drug-free nasal spray that creates a structured fluid-gel barrier in the nasal cavity for up to six hours, trapping airborne viruses, allergens and particulate pollution at the point of entry.
The dual-polymer matrix formulation, developed at the university's Healthcare Technologies Institute, also underpins a child-friendly nasal spray variant and an oral spray for soothing irritated throats.
