Croda Opens Global Biotechnology Centre at Sci-Tech Daresbury
Croda International has officially opened new biotechnology R&D laboratories at Sci-Tech Daresbury, designating the site its global centre for biotechnology research. The facility, formally opened by Minister for Reindustrialisation Blair McDougall MP and Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram, is expected to support future job creation both at Daresbury and Croda's other four UK sites, and has already produced KeraBio K31, a biotech-derived keratin ingredient now being commercialised globally.
Croda Reports 4.6% H1 Organic Growth, Q2 Acceleration to 8.8%
Croda reported 4.6% organic sales growth to £880.5m in H1 2026, with growth accelerating to 8.8% in the second quarter after a slower first quarter, led by Consumer Care. Adjusted operating profit rose 6.7% organically to £155.8m and the company maintained its full-year 2026 guidance, with shares rising over 3% on the update.
