ECACC

ECACC is the European Collection of Authenticated Cell Cultures, a UK Health Security Agency resource based at Porton Down.

It preserves and supplies quality-controlled human and animal cell lines, hybridomas, induced pluripotent stem cells and nucleic acids for biomedical research. Its services include cell line authentication, mycoplasma and sterility testing, cell banking, patent deposits and cell culture training.

Established in 1984, the collection supports research institutions and commercial laboratories worldwide.
