EpilepsyGTx is a biotechnology company developing gene therapies for focal refractory epilepsy, a condition in which seizures arise from a specific brain region and do not respond to antiseizure medicines.

Its lead programme, EPY201, is an AAV9-based gene therapy delivered locally via catheter directly to the epileptogenic focus, designed to reduce neuronal hyperexcitability and achieve seizure freedom with a single intervention.

Phase 1/2a clinical trials are planned to commence by the end of 2026.
