iFAST Diagnostics is a biotechnology company developing microfluidic instruments for rapid antimicrobial susceptibility testing of bacterial infections.
Its platform uses electrical measurements of individual bacteria following antibiotic exposure to determine susceptibility and minimum inhibitory concentrations in under three hours. The technology is designed for clinical microbiology laboratories working with positive blood cultures and bacterial isolates.
The company has achieved UKCA certification for its initial Gram-negative bloodstream infection testing application.
