Macomics

Macomics is a University of Edinburgh spin-out developing macrophage-targeted medicines across oncology, neurodegenerative, inflammatory and fibrotic diseases.

Its ENIGMAC drug discovery platform combines human macrophage and microglia models derived from induced pluripotent stem cells, gene editing and disease-associated datasets to identify and validate therapeutic targets.

The company is building a pipeline of antibody and small-molecule programmes, with research operations in Edinburgh and Cambridge. Its work includes tumour-associated macrophages, microglial dysfunction and macrophage–fibroblast interactions in fibrosis.
