Synthetic receptor technology to improve CAR-T cell therapy sensitivity
MatchBio is a University of Oxford spinout developing synthetic antigen receptor technologies to improve the sensitivity of CAR-T cell therapies. Its approach aims to help engineered T cells recognise cancer cells displaying low levels of target antigens, potentially reducing antigen escape and expanding the range of treatable cancers.
Founded in 2023 by immunologists from Oxford's Dunn School of Pathology, MatchBio is backed by Oxford Science Enterprises and focuses on next-generation cellular immunotherapies.
