Waste biomass conversion technology for sustainable aviation fuel
Nova Pangaea Technologies develops processes that convert forestry and agricultural residues into renewable fuel feedstocks and biochar.
Its patented REFNOVA platform uses steam-assisted rapid pyrolysis to release fermentable sugars from lignocellulosic biomass without enzymes. These sugars can be fermented into second-generation ethanol for subsequent upgrading into sustainable aviation fuel.
The company operates a demonstration facility on Teesside and licenses its technology for planned commercial-scale production projects.
