PrecisionTox

PrecisionTox is a University of Birmingham-led international research consortium developing alternative approaches to chemical safety assessment.

Its scientists compare molecular toxicity responses across diverse experimental organisms and human cell systems, integrating genomics, metabolomics and computational analysis to identify conserved toxicity pathways and biomarkers.

Supported by the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme, the project is building shared data resources and regulatory methods. Its grant agreement currently runs through December 2026.
