BIOCAPTIVA has appointed Stephane Argivier as Chair, succeeding Frank Armstrong who had served since the company's inception. Argivier brings 30 years of life sciences experience, including board-level roles in diagnostics and life science tools, and takes over as the company builds on its recent £1.58m funding round and US product launch.

Roz Bird, CEO of Anglia Innovation Partnership (the campus management company for Norwich Research Park), has been appointed Interim Chair of the UK Science Park Association. She will work alongside UKSPA CEO Ruth Hall to deliver the association's new strategy for strengthening UK science parks and innovation clusters.

NRG Therapeutics has appointed Dr Claus Sundgreen as Chief Medical Officer, effective 1 August 2026. Sundgreen, a neuroscience drug development specialist with particular expertise in ALS, will lead clinical strategy for lead candidate NRG5051, including its ongoing Phase 1 trial and a planned Phase 2 ALS study starting in 2027.

4D Medicine has appointed Andrew Newland as non-executive chairman. Newland previously founded and led ANGLE plc, a cancer liquid biopsy diagnostics company, through FDA product clearance and IPO, and brings 20 years of public company chief executive experience to 4D Medicine's peripheral nerve protection technology.
