4basebio
4basebio is a biotechnology manufacturing company producing GMP-grade synthetic DNA for use in cell and gene therapies, mRNA vaccines and genome editing applications.
Using an enzymatic, cell-free synthesis process, the company manufactures application-specific linear DNA constructs that overcome the purity and scalability limitations of conventional plasmid-based systems.
4basebio holds MHRA GMP certification for clinical-grade manufacture and also develops non-viral nanoparticle delivery systems for genetic medicine applications.

4basebio Expands Synthetic DNA Offering for Personalised mRNA Medicines
4basebio has expanded its synthetic DNA offering to supply starting material for personalised mRNA medicines. The expansion runs across its high quality and cGMP operations in Cambridge, adding shortened manufacturing turnaround times, patient-specific batch sizes and rapid batch release for individualised treatment programmes.
4basebio Partners with Genezen to Expand Access to Synthetic DNA Platform
4basebio has entered a non-exclusive collaboration with US viral vector CDMO Genezen, giving cell and gene therapy developers access to 4basebio's Research Use Only, High-Quality, and GMP-grade hpDNA synthetic DNA products through Genezen. The enzymatic, cell-free DNA has shown titers comparable to plasmid DNA in AAV production while needing around 30% less DNA mass and transfection reagent.
