Pharma-university venture funding early-stage translational research

Apollo Therapeutics is a biopharma company advancing therapeutic programmes derived from research at partner universities including Cambridge, Imperial College London, UCL, King's College London, and the Institute of Cancer Research.

Originally a joint venture between three universities and AstraZeneca, GSK, and Johnson & Johnson, Apollo became an independent company following a management buyout in 2021.

It has since raised over $400M and is advancing more than 15 programmes across oncology, inflammatory disorders, and rare disease.
