Ikarovec

Ikarovec is a biotechnology company developing dual-pathway adeno-associated virus gene therapies for retinal diseases.

Its lead candidate combines complementary mechanisms targeting complement activity, inflammation and retinal cell protection in geographic atrophy.

Additional programmes target wet and intermediate age-related macular degeneration, including an intravitreal delivery strategy under evaluation for IKAR-003. The pipeline remains in preclinical development, with first-in-human studies planned but no confirmed participant dosing as of October 2026.
