Microbiotica is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing oral live biotherapeutic products comprising defined consortia of gut commensal bacterial strains.

Candidate bacterial strains are identified by analysing microbiome data from clinical outcome studies, enabling mechanistically grounded strain selection.

Its lead programme, a nine-strain consortium, is in Phase 1b trials in advanced melanoma as a co-therapy with pembrolizumab in patients with primary resistance to checkpoint inhibition.
