Lentiviral gene therapy developer for tumours and rare diseases

Santo Therapeutics develops in vivo lentiviral gene therapies for cancer and rare genetic disorders.

Its proprietary vector platform supports programmes including ST002, an NF2 gene-replacement therapy for NF2-related schwannomatosis.

The company announced the start of an investigator-initiated clinical trial of ST002 in China in March 2025; the programme subsequently received FDA orphan drug and rare paediatric disease designations. Santo also has a UK presence at Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst.
