East of England
Founded 2013
Research collaboration and seed funding for engineering biology

Engineering Biology Interdisciplinary Research Centre is a University of Cambridge initiative supporting research and collaboration in synthetic and engineering biology.

It connects academic groups, students and industrial partners across molecular engineering, biomaterials, instrumentation and responsible biotechnology innovation.

Its activities include a researcher directory, training, seed-funding opportunities, interdisciplinary workshops and support for collaborative grant applications. The centre is hosted within the university rather than operating as a separately incorporated biotechnology business.
