RNA-based therapeutics targeting neurodegenerative disease mechanisms

Harness Therapeutics is a Cambridge-based biotech developing oligonucleotide therapeutics that exploit post-transcriptional regulation to achieve controlled upregulation of disease-relevant proteins in the CNS.

Its lead programme targets FAN1 nuclease in Huntington's disease to limit somatic DNA repeat expansion, with a second programme addressing TDP-43 pathology.

The company was established by Takeda Ventures and SV Health Investors' Dementia Discovery Fund and is based at the Babraham Research Campus.
